U.S. Air Force Capt. Michael Calnicean, Forward Operating Base Lion chief medical officer from Detroit, examined the gentleman and identified several infected cuts caused by a skin infection of his left hand. After cleaning the infected area, Calnicean applied a clean dressing and provided the patient with several clean dressing along with instructions on how to change the dressing and keep the infected area clean.
