Fourteen insurgents killed in failed attack in Khowst

BAGRAM, Afghanistan – Afghan and coalition forces successfully repelled an attack on a forward operating base in Khowst province today. At around 1 p.m., several insurgents wearing suicide vests attacked the FOB in Khowst. Afghan and International Security Assistance Force service members successfully repelled the attack and secured the base. Reports indicate fourteen insurgents were killed in the attack. At this time there are no reports of ISAF fatalities.
