Bobbie Mayes, the women’s empowerment coordinator with the Kentucky Agribusiness Development Team and a Lawrenceburg, Ky., resident, and Shahmir Amiri, the Parwan Director of Agriculture Irrigation and Livestock, office share family photos during a visit to the DAIL’s office Aug. 25. Mayes also spoke with Ahmad Nanagish, the coordinator for Dunya Radio, to discuss arrangements for radio time for the director of women’s affairs, Saleha Zareen, to have 30 minutes a week to speak about women’s agriculture and bee keeping.
