Jeffrey Casada , Kentucky National Guard Agribusiness Development Team leader and London, Ky., resident, discusses what is being done with the produce harvested this season with Shah Mirza (second from left), the Dashtak Demonstration Farm manger. Through the teachings of members from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Agribusiness Development Team, local Afghans are now producing seasonal harvests. The Dashtak Demonstration Farm is currently producing corn, horseradish, eggplant, soy beans and alfalfa, which are used to feed the workers along with needy families and livestock.
