KAPISA PROVINCE, Afghanistan – More than 20 servicemen from the French Operational Mentor and Liaison Team, Task Force Altor, Task Force La Fayette, helped the Afghan National Army Kandak 34, 3rd Brigade, 201st Corps organize a medical aid mission in Nezam Khel village in Kapisa province, Afghanistan, Jan. 28. “By the impression of patrolling the valley, the ANA has a good relationship with the local population. In this village, Afghan militaries detected an issue in the clinic: the doctor wasn’t able to treat some patients. So, the ANA came back to bring the help of a French doctor,” explained the Kandak 34 OMLT commander.
Despite bad weather, the operation in the Nezam Khel was a success.
“We received hundreds of patients with different illnesses; it was teamwork in collaboration with the village doctor. Furthermore, we established a ticket system so the patients I treated here could come and see me in Naghlu medical office,” explained the French Kandak 34 doctor.
These operations conducted with the local population show the good relationship Kandak 34 militaries have established in the South Tagab valley.
