John Lim, 201st Corps information officer) POL-E CHARKHI, Afghanistan – The 201st Corps conducted a humanitarian assistance mission in Shani Zahvra village, just a few miles east of Kabul to provide issuing flour, rice, beans, sugar, tea, matches, stationary, blankets, scarves and hand-crank radios to 250 families – almost 1,200 people, Dec. 16.

Afghan Army Brig. Gen. Muheburahman, 201st Corps mullah, also met with the village elder and other key leaders.  They discussed how the government and the Afghan National Army could help the people of the village.   

Two representatives of the village, Said Jan and Haji Meya Qul, promised the ANA that they would encourage 50 teenagers of the village to join them.
