Dave Henderson, a safety officer for Combined Joint Task Force-82, talks about what Veterans Day means to him and about veterans who influenced him during his 26-year military career, during the Veterans Day ceremony at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Nov. 11. Henderson retired from the Army in 1999, 18 of those years were spent in the 82nd Airborne Division, and has continued to serve with the military as a safety officer. Task Force Spartan mechanics train Afghan counterparts

 

PAKTYA PROVINCE, Afghanistan- Fourteen members of the Afghan Border Police and Afghan Uniform Police received certificates of  completion for a five-week maintenance and recovery course from vehicle mechanics assigned to Headquarters Company, 725th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, Task Force Warrior on Forward Operating Base Gardez, March 15.
