BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan – One Coalition servicemember died of wounds sustained during a combat operation this evening.
Coalition forces were engaged in combat operations 2 kilometers (1.24 miles) south of Regay Village, Helmand Province, when the servicemember sustained fatal wounds from a RPG strike.
The name and nationality of the deceased servicemember is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Four Coalition servicemembers were wounded in the engagement and transported to a military medical facility for treatment.
