BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - Afghan and Coalition forces detained one suspected militant in an operation early today to degrade violent extremist activities in the region.

Acting on credible intelligence, the combined force proceeded to compounds in Andar District of Ghazni Province, where they suspected an anti-Coalition militant was hiding.

“Coalition forces conduct swift, precise operations to deny militant forces the opportunity to gather strength and momentum,” said Army Maj. Chris Belcher, a Combined Joint Task Force-82 spokesperson.

No non-combatants were injured or killed in the operation.

Some damage to buildings was done during the course of operations.
