During the operation, one ANA Soldier was killed and an insurgent group has been neutralized.

A major operation in southern Tagab valley, Afghan Soldiers with 3rd Brigade, 201st Afghan National Army Corps, commanded by Afghan General Nazar, pushed to neutralize the insurgent threat in the area.

Led by the ANA, French forces from Task Force La Fayette supported the operation with an element of rapid response teams, fire and medical support, engineering assets and French helicopters.

Afghan troops from Kandaks 32 and 36 cleared the area during four-day operation, maintaining the pressure and taking the advantage during clashes with insurgents. Throughout the operation, Afghan troops demonstrated a high degree of autonomy and their ability to maneuver units and coordinate internal support in the form of heavy machine gun and artillery fire.

Several times during the operation, French and Afghan elements engaged insurgents from both the ground and French Tiger helicopters.

Afghan National Army soldiers consistently used opportunities offered by this operation to hold shuras, traditional assemblies, with village populations.
