KUNAR PROVINCE, Afghanistan – Local district government staff, along with International Security Assistance Force representatives came together to create a district development plan in the Pech district, eastern Afghanistan, Oct. 19. ISAF service members will coordinate with the district government and the National Solidarity Program to initiate development projects in the district.

Also in the Pech district, elders from the village of Sundray discussed village development and security concerns with Afghan National Army soldiers and ISAF service members at a nearby joint forward operating base.

During the meeting, the elders, ANA and ISAF service members discussed development and security concerns affecting the Sundray village.
