KABUL, Afghanistan (June 10) - Afghan Border Police (ABP) with International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service members, discovered a bomb making facility, June 9, during a joint operation in the Terazai District of Khost province in eastern Afghanistan.

While on patrol, the ABP and ISAF service members approached a qalat—a fortified compound—and observed a number of individuals running away.

During their search of the qalat and surrounding areas, the patrol uncovered homemade explosives, pressure plates, detonation cord, small arms and ammunition along with grenades, fragmentation sleeves, homemade explosive casts, landmines, and other bomb making material.

Three individuals were also detained.

No ISAF or ANSF Soldiers were injured during this operation.
