KABUL, Afghanistan (Nov. 6, 2008) – U.S. Forces Afghanistan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan will investigate the incident that took place in Shah Wali Kott district, Kandahar province, Nov. 3.
A Joint delegation, to include the Governor’s office, National Directorate of Security, the Regional Police Office, and a U.S. Forces Afghanistan investigator, will conduct the investigation.
“We will work with the local government to investigate the situation and take actions as appropriate,” said Cmdr. Jeff Bender, U.S. Forces Afghanistan spokesperson.
