KABUL, Afghanistan – A Coalition air strike Tuesday killed Taliban Commander Sharif Agha and 14 other militants in Deh Rawood District, Oruzgan province.

Agha was a known improvised explosive device and suicide bombing facilitator in Helmand and Oruzgan provinces.

Coalition forces positively identified Agha and 14 other militants near a riverbed in the vicinity of a known insurgent compound located in a remote area away from local villages.  Reports confirmed that the militants were coordinating an attack against Coalition forces.  Close air support was employed, killing Agha and the other militants with a precision air strike.

No Coalition forces or civilian casualties have been reported.
