Several caches discovered in Kandahar province

BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan (August 07, 2008) — Afghan Commandos and Coalition forces discovered and destroyed multiple caches in Maywand District, Kandahar province August 4.

The combined forces were on a patrol when they discovered the caches. One cache contained 60 five-gallon plastic containers of ammonium nitrate primed with detonation cords. A stolen tour bus was also found.

The caches were destroyed on site.
