UPDATE: Coalition helicopter downed in Logar

BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan (July 2, 2008) -- Coalition forces destroyed the remaining pieces of the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter today in Kherwar District, Logar province.

Coalition forces cleared the area using helicopters show-of-force and firing warning rounds before using precision-guided munitions to destroy the helicopter.

No non-combatants or Coalition service members were injured as a result of this destruction.
